Boulder,CO

This website is part of an ongoing project to map and preserve the changing religious landscape in Boulder, Colorado. Although Boulder is often termed the “least religious city in the US” (Gallup, 2013), the city’s religious landscape is diverse and should not be overlooked. Boulder is currently home to over eighty distinct religious organizations, and has seen abrupt shifts in its religious makeup throughout history.

By using historical data and church information, we hope to show how the religious landscape in Boulder has changed throughout the city’s 150-year history, as well as highlighting and documenting many of the religious groups within Boulder. As such, this website is continually a work-in-progress.
